As used in many championship winning race cars, 5W-40 MOTUL 300V series "POWER" competition racing oil is a true racing lubricant for true race cars and high performance cars. Designed for high temperatures, high shear, and the rigors of professional and endurance racing. MOTUL has developed “Double Ester Technology” for new 300V series, superior to complex ester which was previously recognized as the best base oil (up to now!). Double Ester Technology, made by carefully balancing the ratio of complex ester and the newly developed macromolecular high polymer ester, enable base oil more wide-ranged, and delivers high output performance and superior reliability. As used by many of the finest racing teams around the world.
TYPE OF USE-
Racing cars with atmospheric or turbocharged engines, race or qualifying engines, requiring maximum
power output and fastest rev raisings : Qualifying sessions, drag racing, race on tracks, Nascar, single
brand races, uphill races, rallyes…
Engine designed to run low viscosity lubricants and to minimise fuel dilution in the oil.
Other applications : Gasoline or diesel engines, turbocharged, direct injection and catalytic converters.
PERFORMANCES-
STANDARDS Above existing standards.
Reference team NISMO NISSAN, Japan GT – Coloni Motorsport, Formula 3 (open wheel cars)
Double Ester technology : maximum oil film resistance, balanced polarity, resistance at very high temperature.
Friction Modifier : maximum power output, decrease operating temperature.
0% shear loss : Stable oil pressure whatever using conditions. Maximum anti-wear resistance.
Perfect engine cleanliness. Low viscosity grade 5W-30 allows excellent oil flow into the engine, fastest oil pressure set up, faster revving and engine response.
RECOMMENDATIONS-
Oil change : according to your own use.
Can be mixed with synthetic or mineral lubricants.

This is a great motor oil, and one that we found not only works well, but actually has resulted in lower engine temperatures.
In our BMW E82 135i project car, we have had issues w high oil temperature and coolant temperature, and not only did this oil perform well, but it actually helped reduce the overall oil temperature in the engine, allowing us to run a higher level of turbo boost.
