Porsche Cayenne Plastic Coolant Tubes Class Action Lawsuit PROPOSED Settlement.
BRracing has reported and shown the issues with many of the early year Porsche Cayenne plastic coolant pipes.
The issue is the coolant pipes (there are two sets, the upper three, and the lower main) either crack or produce coolant leaks in the main valley of the V8 engine. The issue is so wide spread, that Porsche customers have filed a class action lawsuit, and there has now been a proposed settlement. The suit covers 2003 to 2006 year Porsche Cayenne vehicles with the V8 engine that were equipped with the plastic coolant pipes.
Class members may be entitled to compensation if they submit valid, timely, and approved claims pursuant to the Court approved review process. Under the proposed settlement and subject to proof, PCNA (Porsche Cars North America) will provide a benefit to the Class Members for past or future coolant pipe repairs.
We will summarize the Class Action Lawsuit settlement terms. If your Class Vehicle had a coolant pipe repair before December 12, 2013, for which you incurred out-of-pocket expenses for parts and labor costs, you may be eligible to receive a partial or complete reimbursement for that repair if you make a valid, timely and approved claim.
If, as of December 12, 2013, your Class Vehicle has not had a coolant pipe repair to install genuine Porsche aluminum coolant pipes, you may be eligible to receive a partial or complete payment for replacement of your Class Vehicle’s coolant pipes with genuine Porsche aluminum coolant pipes if you make a valid, timely, and approved claim.
If as of December 12, 2013, your Class Vehicle is still equipped with Porsche plastic coolant pipes and, within one year from December 12, 2103, experiences coolant pipe damage, you may be eligible to receive a partial or complete payment for replacement of your Class Vehicle’s Porsche plastic coolant pipes with genuine Porsche aluminum coolant pipes if you promptly contact PCNA for an inspection and submit a valid, timely and approved claim.
If you had the coolant pipe repair, and you want to be reimbursed for out-of-pocket costs you incurred, and your claim is approved, PCNA will reimburse you for an amount based on the number of miles your vehicle had at the time of the repair. The reimbursement table looks like this:

If you are a current or prior owner or lessee of a used class vehicle and you did not purchase the vehicle from an authorized Porsche dealer with an ACPO warranty –
You must make a valid and timely claim, and if it is approved, PCNA will reimburse the owner with 25% of the invoice price paid for the coolant pipe repair not to exceed $450.
