This year will be unlike any other year in our history, as the number of customers we have participating with us, and experiencing how to get the most out of the driving experience just continues to grow and grow. We did a large number of events in 2010, had added our own Executive Experience events in 2010, but 2011 will see us expand into more diverse and even farther away events and locations. We also have a contingent of customers who continue to move up in their driving experience, and are looking for more serious forms of participation, so we are adding those type events to the schedule for 2011…..but all of it is for FUN.
Here is a quick snapshot of the outlook for 2011. In 2010, we were able to do a large number of events at Laguna Seca, but as Laguna continues to crack down on sound, they further restricted the number of events that clubs and driving groups can use the track in 2011, so we have to alter our track selection for 2011. On the other side, Hooked On Driving has secured a weekend date at Miller Motorsport Park in Utah….this is a world class location, and we already have lots of customers committed to this weekend event….this is one of the biggest and most technical tracks in all of North America….Woo Hoo, and we will be adding several Infineon dates as well (by far the most technical and scary track we will visit). Since the diversity of our customer base that participates in driving events has grown, we will also be increasing the diversity of events, adding some more serious performance and time attack events, as well as the well managed instructor and more tame events. We are trying to spread out the diversity between the number of events per month (trying to do about one event a month), and make the balance between tracks work as well.
We will also be stepping up the performance event participation, both with our 2010 Porsche GT3 project car, along with our ever evolving BMW 135i project car, but we also have some new customers who have dedicated Ferrari race cars, and we have a customer who just stepped up to a full Porsche 997 Cup Car. Therefore, we will be adding competition events for us to participate in, along with a return to the Global Tuner Grand Prix in October.
Finally, as part of our overall business development, in 2010 we formalized our staff participation as dedicated crew members of the GMG American Le Mans team, and we will be expanding our participation at the pro level in 2011.
Come out and join us at any and all levels, and if the initial interest and inquiries from our customers about 2011 is any indication, this will be a very full year.
